IT APPLICATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DESIGN

TUTORED BY :MR KHAIROOL AIZAT
MODULED COORDINATOR : MR. KAHIROOL AIZAT

The goal of this module is to increase knowledge of current information technology (IT) trends and software programmes that use building information modelling (BIM) as a method of creative sustainable design solutions. The Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry of various nations has adopted BIM as a thriving methodology and technology to realise integrated, intensely collaborative, and sustainable design project delivery. Adopting this full life-cycle approach to project delivery is crucial to ensuring correct information representation in projects, which will enhance communication, reduce risk, increase productivity, and optimise time, quality, and cut down on waste in design and construction projects.

In order to create a BIM information-centric based building model and documentation, students are expected to investigate the fundamental concept of BIM and its applications in building design collaboration and coordination. This includes developing environmental analysis and building performance simulations as a way to optimise building design.
